The site we shall visit was named Terra Rica.
It's 1:20h from Alter do chao.
It belonged to my matriarchal family before the park was created in the 70"s.
There many many trails made by my uncles and a particular one I made with my colleagues.
Rubber trees, cocoa trees and many others native huge trees including a magnificent Kapok tree I used to play hide and seek with my cousins in my childhood.
There's a fairly clean wash room and a little camp where we spend the night in comfortable hammocks or if you prefer we can pitch a tent.
King Vultures is the key species however we see several other species as you check the pictures.
On the in or out we drive thru Belterra, the second city founded by Henry Ford.

Maica River is east of Santarem where we catch our boat taking with us a fast boat for exploring shallower places or evehn canoeing through the flooded forest.
Sloths, Pink Dolphins, Primates Hoatzins and several other species of birds are very often seen or even guaranteed.
We carry a pair of Leika binoculars to enjoy better wildlife observations. On our way we cruise along the meeting of the waters.
We never do Jari river, Arapiuns or visit the community along the Tapajos river.
I recently designed a tour exploraring Cururu area where we make a brief hike during which we see howler monkeys, some bird species and chill at. an isolated beach. During high water we explore the flooded igapo forest
